Youth Group Nation

Hey everyone! Hope you've been enjoying your week and getting ready for this weekend. I sure I am! As some of you know through my Sunday Setlist posts, I started joining the Sunday Setlist at Fred McKinnon.com about a 2 months ago and really have been enjoying it. It is great to see so many worship leaders/directors/pastors and even members share there Sunday Worship sets, experiences, thoughts, etc. Thinking about all that lead me to this question, "Why hasn't anyone done something similar for there youth group services?" Maybe there is someone out there, but I haven't heard of him/her yet. I don't know about other worship leaders but not only do I lead worship on Sunday mornings but I lead worship on Friday nights for our RAZE youth group ministry in beautiful Orlando, FL.

I have a passion for our youth, so the purpose of this is to find out what other youth group's are doing and how are there services. I want to find out if there are any other worship leaders/pastors/directors that lead worship for there youth group as well as Sunday or maybe just for there youth group. I want to hear about your youth group services. Share your worship sets, experiences, as well as the rundown of the entire service.

So here it is. "Youth Group Nation" #3 Woohoo! If someone out there has the gift to design awesome logos please let me know, please! Every Friday night we I will be hosting "Youth Group Nation". I want to hear from you. Make sure when you respond you provide us with the following info:

What is your youth group name?
Where are you located?
What day is your youth group service on?
What songs were in your worship set? and the rest is on you!

Also remember that your youth group service doesn't have to be on a Friday to participate. Whatever day it is, it doesn't matter. The participation begins on Friday and so on.

So in your blog, mention the “Youth Group Nation” blog and link back to this post. Use the link as I have below. For example? In your blog, you could say “I’m posting my Youth Group Nation along with other worship leaders at “Youth Group Nation” over at Johnnysierra.blogspot.com” - and link back to this post:

Please spread the word.

So here it is :
Raze youth group service was great. I startd out the worship set with an intro and Germarie one of our singers lead worship for us.

She did amazing and I am very proud of her. In the beginning of the week things seemed a little complicated with the lineup that we were going to go with but we ended with this final list.

1. Million Voices (Barlow Girls) - Dm
Great, Great song! This is song full of a lot of energy. If you plan on doing this song I recommend you do it for your youth group (it is that intense!)
2. New Season (Israel Houghton) - F
Man, we haven't done that song in a while but it still was exciting. The transition from Million Voices to New Season went really smooth. We got to do the intro the way we wanted to for this song but not as long as we planned. Overall it went great. We also mixed in Latter will be Greater by (Israel Houghton). Those two songs really mix well. And that song transitioned us to our slower songs in our set.
3. The more I seek you (Kari Jobe) - E
Very deep and intimate song. I really recommend this one to be added to your worship set. We started out the song slow with the classical piano sound to it. The only thing I wish would have happened is if we would have builded on the song, getting stronger and stronger as we go, especially during the end of the song. Overall Germarie led this one just as I thought she would.
4. Glorify your Name (Lakewood Church) - Cm
Love this song. It was a great song to leave for last on the set. Again the only thing I wish would have occurred is if musically we would have built on the song. But overall it was great song.

5. Increase (Johnny Sierra) - Bb
This is a song that I wrote a couple of years back, but it is still jammin! Enjoyed playing. Musically and vocally it went great for this song. If you want to see the lyrics for this song I will be posting it up on my Songwriter's Circle section.

Alright now it is your turn!
