Fasting - Day 16

What's up blog nation!
Yesterday (Tuesday) I completed my 16th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about after all these weeks of my fasting posts then click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions. Had incredibly time with the Lord in prayer followed by reading Zachariah 10. The title of this chapter was called "The Lord will restore His people". I received a lot from it, I definitely needed it.

After that about 9:30am I began watching coverage of the Inauguration till about 1:30pm! What an amazing and exciting moment in America's history! And I am so glad that I saw it all, from the debates to voting to election day to Inauguration Day! One day I can tell my kids that I witnessed it all. Check out my video conversation section on the right hand side of my blog, I speak a little more about Inauguration Day.

We'll like I said earlier yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions because later that afternoon I attended a funeral. I haven't been to a funeral since my grandmother passed away over 12yrs ago, so you can imagine how I felt. My pastor invited me to come to the funeral and sing "In Christ Alone". It was a first for me, but one that I will remember. The girl's name was Alessandra and she was only 14 yrs. old! I did not know her personally but there was so many young people there that did. I hope that this tragic loss opened up there eyes to see that tomorrow is not promised to none of us and that the greatest achievement in life is to love and know our God and our family. Rest in Peace Alessandra!

This was day 16 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

So are you or your church fasting this new year? If so how is it going? If not I invite you to dedicate and separate yourself for God, it will change the rest of your year.

Until next time
Stay blessed
