Fasting 2010 - Day 2

Hello everyone!

Here we are in Day 2 of this 21 day Daniel fast. Woke up very refreshed, inside my warm home. I live in Florida and I have the heater on in my home! I am not kidding!, it is reaching the 20's at night here in the Sunshine State. Cold weather and fasting is not a very good mix, trust me!

The work day was great. I am blessed to have my supervisor a part of this fast with me. The temptation level is way down this year than the last two years (maybe I am talking to soon!). The most difficult part probably has been my addiction to munchies. I am always munching on something while at work, so in this fast my munchies have been limited to strawberries, bananas, and peanuts. Thank God for Peanuts!

Service was very good. We sang four songs, 1. El Senor esta en este lugar 2. Friend of God 3. Jesus lover of my Soul 4. Jehova es mi Guerrerro. Our pastor did not preach, sister Mary preached. She was surprisingly funny. She touched on Isaiah 58: 5-7. Her word complemented what our Pastor has been bringing to the church.

We finished off the night with some smoothies! Great day

IN THE START OF THIS NEW YEAR, WHAT ARE YOU AND/OR YOUR CHURCH DOING DIFFERENTLY? (Fasting, New Services, Goals, Strategies, etc) Please feel free to share.

Well I hope that you continue to stay with me in my 21 day Daniel fast journey, as I share with you my heart, day, services, foods, etc.

See you tomorrow

Fasting 2010 - Day 1

Holla everyone!

Wow, it has been a while since I have blogged. You know how life can get, busy! But I am back and nothing better than to begin my blooging this year on my 21 day fast! Yes, it's that time again! Where did 2009 go? If feels like I just finished my last years fast a week ago! But now I begin my 3rd straight year in the Daniel Fast. What is the Daniel Fast?you might ask, well we have incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's fasting to our church. To check out the details of this fast check out Jentenzen Franklin.org

As I began this fast I started taking a glance at Pastor Franklin's book titled, "Fasting" and I love what he says in his opening paragraph

"Corporately fasting in January is much the same precept as praying in the morning to establish the will of God for the entire day. I believe that, if we will pray and seek God and give Him our best at the first of the year, He will bless our ENTIRE year! "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). "

Isn't that awesome! I makes sense. Just like a farmer plants a small seed, but expects a great harvest, we plant a small seed in the beginning of the year in this fast but expect an amazing harvest the rest of the year.

Well today was smooth (only cause it's the first day) but I found myself munching a lot more than I usually do. Peanuts and Natural blue corn chips. That will pretty much be my munching food for the next 20 days but I will be alright.

Our service tonight was awesome. Pastor spoke a word on Psalms 42 mainly on verse 7. He spoke about a mans need for God and how man has a deep desire to know a higher power (God). And how we should strive to be more united with the Father more than ever. More intimate, more deeper. Worship was great all we did were two songs 1. Blessed be the name, 2. My Soul longs for you, but the presence of God was so heavy in the room. You could feel this peace in the room, something very different from what we are use to. It was such a beautiful experience that I hope will continue throughout this fast.

Fasting - Day 19-21 (It is FINISHED!)

What up blog nation!
Sorry for the no show, the last couple of days. It has been very busy around here. But anyways, I completed my 19th, 20th and 21st day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about after all these weeks of my fasting posts then click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Friday (Day 19) was pretty normal. I was suppose to pick up my car from the dealership but decided to wait till the weekend was over. Later that afternoon, we had our Youth Service which was full of a lot of energy. I don't have a picture of what we ate. But we ate meatless burritos! Yeah MEATLESS burritos. I was an awesome meal.

Oh how the weekends are just full of challenges! Saturday (Day 20) was good, just the fact that we were invited to a baby shower and the food that they had was mouth watering! We ended up fixing plates and taking the home to eat today. That night we had another service, that the adults side of the ministry lead. Great service

Sunday (Day 21) YESSSSSSSS! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIEND, WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TILL THE END...! Probably the best day I have had this year. Yesterday was such and emotional day for a lot of us. This fasting kind of became part of our lives, so I felt a little sad that it was done (tell me if I said that the moment I took a bite of a slice of pizza!) I will be going more in detail with our service that went on in my Sunday Setlist. But let me tell you that yesterday by far was one of the greatest services I have ever been a part of. It was that amazing. My family and I broke the fasting with some pizza and wings, that I am paying the price for this morning, if you know what I mean!

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. It has been exciting, challenging, but amazing. I hope that you have been blessed and hopefully this can be a motivation for you in the future.

Much love Blog Nation!

Fasting - Day 18

What up blog nation!
Yesterday (Thursday) I completed my 18th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about after all these weeks of my fasting posts then click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Good day yesterday. Spent the morning with my Lord, just expressing and pouring myself onto Him. Throughout this fast there has been several petitions that I have been praying really hard for and I have hope that they will come to pass, but like a lot of things there is a waiting period. Don't you just hate not knowing what is going to take place in your life? That is how I feel this week, but I stay confident and hopeful. I managed to get my haircut yesterday. The moment I walked in my barber asked me, "Have you lost weight? because I see it in your neck area" I then began speaking to him about the fast that I am doing. He is not a believer but I know one day he will come to know the God that created him.
Here is my dinner.
Service last night was great and funny at the same. After we finished up our set, a special speaker came to speak, he had to be in his 70's but he moved and preached like he was in his 20's! No lie. Check out the video (It is in Spanish, but check out this pastor's energy) Sorry for the poor video quality, it was recorded on my phone.

This was day 18 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

So are you or your church fasting this new year? If so how is it going? If not I invite you to dedicate and separate yourself for God, it will change the rest of your year.

Until next time
Stay blessed Blog Nation!

Fasting - Day 17

What's up blog nation!
Yesterday (Wednesday) I completed my 17th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about after all these weeks of my fasting posts then click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Pretty normal day yesterday. I spent some good time with my Lord in the early morning hours. If you haven't checked out my blog recently I am beginning a new weekly post called "Spoken Word Wednesday" If you want to find out more or participate just click here. I find this to be really cool because I know a lot of people have a gifting to write poetry, stories, songs, etc. So if that is you, then let your voice be heard!

Here is my dinner last night.
Here we have whole wheat natural pasta with home made tomato sauce, plantains and not from concentrate Orange juice.

Service last night was great. The youth lead worship. We sang,

1. In the Secret - A
I played the keys and before we began the worship set I had the entire congregation come to the front and we began to pray with such joy and passion. After that having there in the front we began our worship set. Very fun.

2. Because of who you are - A
I tried to keep it simple by doing the song in the same key as the previous song. Perfect song for last night's service.

3. When I think about the Lord/ I got it!/ Look what the Lord has done - B
This is a medley consisting of 3 songs. These songs are classics at our church and the congregation fell in love with them once again. Every one came to the front and began to dance like David danced!

Pastor spoke a great word found in the book of Mathew about planting a seed. Powerful message!

This was day 17 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 16

What's up blog nation!
Yesterday (Tuesday) I completed my 16th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about after all these weeks of my fasting posts then click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions. Had incredibly time with the Lord in prayer followed by reading Zachariah 10. The title of this chapter was called "The Lord will restore His people". I received a lot from it, I definitely needed it.

After that about 9:30am I began watching coverage of the Inauguration till about 1:30pm! What an amazing and exciting moment in America's history! And I am so glad that I saw it all, from the debates to voting to election day to Inauguration Day! One day I can tell my kids that I witnessed it all. Check out my video conversation section on the right hand side of my blog, I speak a little more about Inauguration Day.

We'll like I said earlier yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions because later that afternoon I attended a funeral. I haven't been to a funeral since my grandmother passed away over 12yrs ago, so you can imagine how I felt. My pastor invited me to come to the funeral and sing "In Christ Alone". It was a first for me, but one that I will remember. The girl's name was Alessandra and she was only 14 yrs. old! I did not know her personally but there was so many young people there that did. I hope that this tragic loss opened up there eyes to see that tomorrow is not promised to none of us and that the greatest achievement in life is to love and know our God and our family. Rest in Peace Alessandra!

This was day 16 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

The preparation is a bit tough but I know the results will be worth it. Stay tuned for the details of this conference in early May.

Here is a picture of my dinner, minus the meatless boca chili to your left.Great food! We have less than a week and we are making plans for our breaking of our fast. During the our night service, everything was amazing. We had such an incredible and joyful time during worship.

Sunday Setlist (Fasting Edition) - Day 14

Hey everyone! Welcome to my Sunday (on Monday) Setlist (Fasting Edition), which is hosted by my good friend, Fred McKinnon and other worshipers at Fred McKinnon.Com.

We'll I completed my 14th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous posts on my fast, my church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Yesterday was great, I wasn't as hungry as yesterday but tired. Here is our two set list's for our 9am service and 7:30pm service.

9:00am Service
Love the Lord (Lincoln Brewster) - G

This was our new song for this week. Very cool and simple song. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks for our congregation to really grab on to a song. But to only hear it for the first time the congregation really grabbed on to it. So I am hoping that this song can be a hit for a while.

From the Inside Out (Hillsong United) - F
Great song. We played just like on their CD, with the guitar starting of with the solo, but I accompanied him with some synth, which sounded great.

You are Here (The Same Power) (Hillsong United) - B
We brung this one in last Sunday and I just wanted to bring it in because the message is so relevant with everything that is going on at the church. Great and easy, but powerful song.

Break Free - (Hillsong United) - F#m

No this wasn't Hillsong United morning but we did choose a lot of there song for this service. Very fun song! I played the keys on this song for the first time, we have never done that. We usually just keep with guitars but we are currently short of guitarist so I helped. I turned out great.

7:30pm
New Season (Israel Houghton) - C#
Haven't played or done this song in a while, but fun.

Here I am to worship - F
Sing of your love forever - F

Overall a great services. Pastor spoke a good message about getting rid of the old and accepting the new things that the Lord has for us. This message was found in the book of John.

After service our 9am service, my wife and I went to the hospital to see a good friend of ours baby boy that was born at 5:26am on January 18th, 2009.
Cute right? His name is Josiah Ariel Carrion. Great name!
After that we went home to have some soup with friends and watch a movie titled "Saving God".

This was day 14 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 12

Hey everyone!
Yesterday (Friday) I completed my 12th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous posts on my fast click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

I started the morning reading the Word in Zachariah chapter 7,8. Check out what Zachariah 7:4-6 The Lord Almighty sent me this message: "Say to all your people and your priests, 'During those seventy years of exile, when you fasted and mourned in the summer and at the festival in early autumn, was it really for me that you were fasting? And even now in your holy festivals, you don't think about me but only of pleasing yourselves...'

That word smacked me up! Not that I am fasting for my own pleasure but sometimes during fasting we try to make things as convenient as possible for ourselves and forget that the point of it all is to sacrifice and separated ourselves for God. God never allowed leaders in the Bible like David, Peter, Paul, Moses, etc to live a life of convenience and comfort, they all lived for Him and were willing to do whatever it took for Him. Are we the same way? or do we make up our own rules? Do we go the extra mile or do we grab the shorter end of the stick? Think about that.

Here was my dinner last night.
As you see we had whole wheat natural pasta, mixed with veggies and plantains with not from concentrate orange juice. Um Um good!

This was day 12 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 11

What up mi gente! It is FRIDAY!
Yesterday (Thursday) I completed my 11th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous posts on my fast click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

A lot of running around yesterday. One of the things I did was help my brother fill our the FAFSA.org form for college; he will be starting soon. I remember when I started college and had to fill out that form. Time has flied by! Other than the run around, my wife and I found out some great news, which will have a positive affect on our finances (that is always great new right?). I will let you guys know my the buzz about me and my current status soon! Other than that here is my dinner that I had last night.
Here we have a boca patty and chili, with home made potato wedges and not from concentrate apple juice. Really good meal. I just can't wait to replace that patty with fried pork chop or steak!

Last night service was pretty good, not as intense and the other ones but more intimate. Pastor Rocky continued his series on The Presence and it has been intense and in your face type of messages. We are living in some great times in our church.

This was day 11 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 10

What up people! I am fired up to say that I am HALF WAY DONE with this Daniel fast! And the plate above, will hopefully be filled with a nice and juicy steak or chicken, (I don't know which one) soon!
I completed my 10th day. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous posts on my fast click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Another regular day yesterday. I spent some good time in prayer with the Lord during the morning time. He revealed a lot of things to me that I will be sharing with you guys soon. But most of the day was dedicated to music. I was working on the song list for last night's service as well as for our Youth service on Friday. Let me just talk about our service last night. Wow! What an amazing service. We started the service with this worship set.

1. I am Free (Michael Gungor) - D
There is something special with this song at our church. Our congregation received this song like I have never seen before. There was such a hunger and joy in worship, especially with this song. I truly enjoyed playing it.
2. Take me in (Holy of Holies) - Gm
This was the appropriate song for last night. Our Pastor has dedicated this week's fast to the presence of God, and this song speaks of going deeper with Him.
3. I know who I am (Israel Houghton) - A
Fun song! Full of a lot of energy. We translated the chorus of this song to Spanish, so it was fun singing it in Spanish and English.

If the heat is too hot for you then get out the kitchen! Accept my wife! Check out the video.

This was day 10 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. Fasting - Day 9

Hey everyone!
Hope you are enjoying your week so far. Yesterday I completed my 9th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous posts on my fast click here. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Yesterday was a normal rainy day for me. I spend a good portion of the day reading. I started reading some of the bible, Zachariah 5 & 6. The book is a little confusing if you don't really focus on what you are reading. But I started reading this book because there is a certain scripture that I am looking for in this book, so I just decided to read the entire thing. I also have been reading a book titled "Fasting: Opening the door to a deeper, more intimate, more powerful relationship with God" by Jentezen Franklin. It is an appropriate book for the fast that I am doing. I will be featuring this book in my reader's digest section, so check it out soon.

Here was my dinner.
Another great dinner! Home made mashed potatoes (made potatoes mashed), with a boca meatless patty, home made tomato sauce, naturally made organic blue corn chips and not from concentrate orange juice. UM UM GOOD! Hey this is as good as it gets in this fasting!

Service last night was so so powerful. Our pastor was hardly able to preach. Worship really took over this entire service. And it is funny because Pastor's message was on worship. As we finished up our service some of us stayed to worship a little more and that was so powerful. God's presence really came over me, it was so beautiful. I felt the Holy Spirit regenerate/refresh me with His presence. I felt my cup overflowing with Him. It was an amazing experience.

This was day 9 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 8

What's up everyone!
Just finished talking to some of my buddies over at theworshipcommunity.com, feel free to check out the forums, there is some awesome discussions going on over there.
Anyways in about and hour from now, I will be completing my 8th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous posts on my fast, my church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Today was a normal day. I usually don't get hungry in the morning. The hunger pains start kickin' in at about 1-2pm. At that point I usually eat a fruit with not from concentrate apple of orange juice. That pretty much holds me until my wife saves me for dinner. Today I had some good prayer time with my Lord followed by some scriptures, where I read Zachariah chapter 3 & 4. Pretty good book. I will share some more details in what I read in tomorrow's post.

Here is what I ate for dinner.
Here is a plate of whole wheat organic pasta with home made tomato sauce, plantains and not from concentrate orange juice. Can't wait to add a nice piece of chicken or steak to that!

Service tonight was great. Our youth lead worship. We sang
1. You are good (Israel Houghton) - F
2. My soul longs for you (Misty Edwards) - Bm
3. Majesty - D

The first week of our fast was centered on Repentance and change. This second week our pastor is focusing on entering into the Presence of God. The message was great and we all shared and intimate moment with our Lord.

This was day 8 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

What's up everyone hope you are enjoying this new year! !I am fired up to be sharing with you my not only my fasting but my Sunday Setlist which is hosted by Fred McKinnon and other worshipers at Fred McKinnon.Com.
We'll I completed my 6th and 7th day of this 21 day Daniel fast. I have slacking but it has been a busy week for me. My church has been having service every night since we have begun this Daniel fast. But here I am. Day 6 which was Saturday was good but hard. For some reason I think Saturday's are going to be the hardest, but we will see. Overall Day 6 was good, we spent most of the day at my in-laws, we my wife and mother in law made some amazing food. Here it is

I pretty much ate the same meal Day 7 as well. But here we have Guacamole salad with home made Chinese rice (I believe made out of brown rice) with plantains and not from concentrate orange juice. Very delicious food!

Day 7, which was yesterday was busy day. Let me get to my Sunday Set list.

1. Another level (Israel Houghton) - F
Fun song! My wife lead this song, she did awesome. I played brass sound with this song, it added some nice affects to the song. Very fun.

2. You are my God (Israel Houghton) - Bb
When we do this song we do it really reggae style. Love it. It brings variety to the set list. My wife also lead this song.

3. My Soul longs for you (Misty Edwards) - Bm
Very powerful song! I can never get enough of this song. On Friday we translated it in Spanish. If you are interested in the Spanish lyrics, let me know.

4. Sing to the Lord (Hillsong United) - A
This is one of our new songs. It is our second week in a row bringing and the congregation is really grabbing it. Very powerful song!

5. You are here (Same Power) -B
This song was added last minute. I felt in my spirit to bring this song and I am glad I did. It really was the cherry on top of this entire set list. I played a synth to this song and man it sounded amazing.

6. I'm not ashamed (Hillsong United) - C
This song is also one of our new song. Very energetic song!

Like I said the entire day yesterday was busy. I played 9am, 11am, and 7:30pm services. It was great experience. Like I said earlier I pretty much ate the same meal as Saturday.

This was day 6 and 7 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 5

Hey everyone! We'll I completed my fifth day of this 21 day Daniel fast yesterday. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous post on my fast, my church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Yesterday went very well despite only eating a banana and not from concentrate orange juice, in the morning. But for lunch it was a different story. My brother, brother -in-law, and I went to place over here in Florida called Planet Smoothie. I was introduced to a natural oatmeal raisin cookie that was soooooo good! I am actually going to buy it again today as well. But me and my brother in law also had a strawberry, banana, and orange juice smoothie. That was delicious as well. Amazingly that little meal held me up till dinner time.

I spent pretty much of the day yesterday with my brother and brother in law. We went to gamestop were I bought me a Call of Duty World at War skin for my Xbox 360. We went to a couple of stores to look for a reasonable computer sound system, but couldn't find it. But it is going on my birthday list! (Pretty soon this year I will posting up review on video games that I play for my Xbox 360, so if you are a gamer, stay tuned in)

Here is a picture of my dinner last night.

On the plate we have brown rice with beans and potatoes, with boca patty and not from concentrate orange juice. Great meal honey!

What another amazing service last night. The presence of God was there so powerfully. I really feel a revival stirring up in this church. Me and my wife lead this service with the youth. Here is our Youth Group Nation Setlist.

1. Another Level (Israel Houghton) - F
Fun song and the right one to kick this service off!
2. You are God (Israel Houghton) - Ab
We really reggaefied this song. It was hot!
3. My Soul long for you (Misty Edwards) - Bm
I can never get enough of this song. The Holy Spirit lead me to prophecy over the congregation through this song. It was amazing! We translated it in Spanish and man the congregation fell in love with it. If you want a copy in Spanish let me know!

Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit we were lead to do, How Great is our God towards the ending of the service. God's presence was there so powerful. I can't wait to see what is going to occur these next days. I am full of great expectation.

Like I said earlier this was day 4 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens throughout my fasting experience. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 4

Hey everyone! We'll I completed my fourth day of this 21 day Daniel fast. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't read my previous post on my fast, my church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Yesterday was good and smooth, especially after all the run around the day before with my car. I woke up early today to take my wife to work, (which is what I will doing for the next 20 days!) and it was so cold outside. I was told that with this fast the cold is going to feel more colder to me because my body isn't getting the proteins it needs to, I guess keep you warm (sounds funny, but it is something like that). The hunger pains were not there like the previous day. Thank God!

I had a meeting with my pastor in the afternoon, discussing the future of our worship ministry and things are looking very bright. I will only give you one hint, we will be having a worship conference with special guest speakers. Woohoo! (That's it, I am not going to tell you anymore)

For dinner my wife once again threw down an amazing meal. Below you will see a plate of brown rice, with vegetable stir fry, with a boca patty and home made tomato sauce. On the other plate you will see a salad with no dressing and a cup of not from concentrate Orange Juice.
But let me tell you the best part of yesterday, the service. I really feel a revival stirring up in this congregation. There is just so much hunger in the atmosphere. People are not wasting any opportunity with God and that is how it needs to be day in and day out. There is such a move a God in this place. As I lead worship to this congregation, there response to God ministers to me. I stand in awe of all that God is doing in this church and in this worship ministry.

Fasting - Day 3

What's up everyone! We'll today is day 3 on this Daniel fast and let me tell you that today was harder than day 1 and day 2. If you haven't read day 1 or 2 then click here to read about my fasting experience. My church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Like I said earlier today was tough. I spend pretty much of the whole day calling my insurance company, bringing my car to body shop, getting and estimation, getting a rent-a-car, waiting, waiting, and waiting some more. And only surviving with a banana and not from concentrate apple juice in my system all day. But it is all good! This is a fast isn't it?

Service tonight was so powerful. I can't put to words how God moved tonight. It was so amazing. After service I spoke with my Pastor about how great these services have been and we both agreed that these services have been getting better and better, every day. Today me and our youth lead the entire church in worship. We sang,

Take it all - Hillsong United - B

I lift up my hands - Israel Houghton - A

Agnus Dei - Michael W. Smith - A
The chorus of Agnus Dei really clung on to the congregation. We keeped singing it throughout the preaching and calling. It was truly an amazing moment in God's presence.

Oh before I forget let me share with you my dinner that me and my wife had.
Here is a plate of home made potato wedges, with meatless/organic chili, with plantains, home made tomato/basil dip and a salad (no dressing) and avocado. Great meal. My wife has been blowing me away with her cooking!

This was day 3 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

Fasting - Day 2

What's up everyone! We'll it is day two of this 21 day fast and I am still alive! Woohoo! If you haven't read my first day of fasting post here it is, but my church (Potter's House Christian Church) has incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's 21 day Daniel fast. To check out every detail of this fast go to Jentenzen Franklin.org

Today was pretty good I did feel the hunger pains more than yesterday but nothing overwhelming. I really didn't each much again today but a banana and not from concentrate apple juice. But today I was meditating on a verse that I read in the morning in Jude 1:21 "Live in such a way that God's love can bless you as you wait for the eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy is going to give you."
That was my prayer today; that my life could be so pleasing on to God that He would have no choice but to bless me and extend His hand of favor over me. We have to believe and have confidence that as we live a life of faith each day, it will require God to take action. The Bible says that, "...faith moves the hand of God" This is the year that God's hand is moved.

During these 21 day of fasting we are also having service every night. Tonight was amazing. The congregation was so hungry for a move of God today, you could feel a desperation for God in the atmosphere. I can't wait to see what is to come.

Let me share with you my dinner, here is a picture of it.
Here I have a plate of organic wheat pasta with home made tomato sauce. On the other plate I have a salad with no dressing. And on my other plate I have avocado with plantains. My wife really outdid herself today. She is tearing it up!

This was day 2 of 21 days. Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

So are you or your church fasting this new year? If so how is it going? If not I invite you to dedicate and seperate yourself for God, it will change the rest of your year.

Until next time
Stay blessed.

21 Day Daniel Fast - Day 1

What's up everyone! Today is the beginning of my 21 day Daniel fast. Woohoo! I am excited now but wait till day 12, then I might not be as excited, lol!
Anyways last night our entire congregation dedicated themselves to the Lord to begin this fast. That service was awesome. It was similar to our New Year's Service that I posted up a couple of days ago. We have incorporated Pastor Jentenzen Franklin's fasting to our church. To check out every detail of this fast check out Jentenzen Franklin.org I love what he says in his opening paragraph,
"Corporately fasting in January is much the same precept as praying in the morning to establish the will of God for the entire day. I believe that, if we will pray and seek God and give Him our best at the first of the year, He will bless our ENTIRE year! "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). "

For being the first day of the fast, it has been great. They say the first 3-4 days are the hardest in this fast, so I think I am doing alright. I really didn't each much this whole day other than dinner. Were we had home made mashed potatoes, with organic/natural boca chicken patty, with home made tomato sauce, salad (no dressing) and not from concentrate apple juice.

This is some of the food, the rest was in my stomach.

Everyday for the next 21 days I will be keeping you posted with everything that happens. You can also check out Potter's House Christian Church and download free podcast daily of every service in our 21 day fast. So stay plugged in everyday.

So are you or your church fasting in this new year? If so how is it going? If not I invite you to dedicate and seperate yourself for God it will change the rest of your year.

Until next time
Stay blessed.
