The Playoffs: Packers Win! Recap/Highlights

Hey everyone, I just want to say that I am super hyped right now! I feel like running around my neighborhood and screaming at the top of my lungs! lol Seriously though, I am really happy with the Packers performance last night. Im not just saying this because I am a die hard Packer Backer but I really saw everything that a team needs to be a Super Bowl champion in the Packers last night.

Great Offense/Passing: Aaron Rodgers passing for 180 yards, 3 TD's, and 0 INT's
That is amazing stats. I got to say that having Rodger under center does not make me nervous like Favre did. Seriously every snap that Favre took I would be bitting my nails off!

Great Offense/Running: I called it from the beginning. When me and my brother were getting the wings for the game, I told him, "What out for James Starks!" my brother said "Who". All night he was giving me props about this guy. Let me give you some stats on him.
23 touches for 123 yards. And can I remind you that he is a ROOKIE!!!

Great Defense: You've heard the old clique, "Defense wins championships", and that is true. I got to admit that I was really nervous as to how the Packers Defense would face up to Vick. But after a sack on the first possession of the ball game, I knew something special was going to happen defensively. Let me give you some stats.
3 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception! Wow. We kept Philly to a total of 82 yards rushing (that's including Michael Vick!)

These are the things that Champions are made of. Below is a recap of the game. Enjoy

Now next the Atlanta Falcons this Saturday @ 7pm.

God Father Chronicles: Chapter 1 Part 2

Hey guys , hope you enjoyed part one of this series. If you don't know Jennifer and I have been caring for are God son (Michael) since Thursday and let me tell you it has been a surprising adventure.

Below is a video of Friday's dinner that we had with Michael at Subway. Awesome Vid, check it out.

We'll Saturday was an adventure, just let me say it this way, 3 birthday parties in one day with a 1 1/2 yr. old!!!!! And let me tell you Michael behaved tremendously good. The only acting up he did was when we took a lolly pop away from him when we were ready to leave, but even at that it was for like 5 seconds.

After about 5 hrs. of partying Michael started falling asleep in the car but in a very funny way. He would start to laugh at anything we did. You can tell he was long over due for a nap. Check out the next vid of him laughing like a crazy man.

I gotta say I am so surprised at how well Michael has been behaving. If I get kids I want them to behave the way he has been throughout these last several days. Stay tuned my friends.

God Father Chronicles:Chapter 1 Part 1

Hey what is going everyone!
As some of you might know I am caring for my God Son for the next 4 days. Call it training, practice, whatever, but I call it building! Building a good relationship with my God Son.

We'll anyways, I got to admit last night I was a little nervous in bringing him to the house. I didn't know what to expect. Whether he would cry all night, scream all night, be awake all night, I was clueless! But non of the above took place. We got home played for a little, gave him a bath (which was a priceless moment. And no I will not show footage of Michael naked for all you ladies!!!) and he knocked out quick. I surprised at how easy and fast he knocked out.

This morning was hilarious though! I woke up around 5am and everyone is knocked out and I usually don't make to much noise when I am getting ready. Today was a bit different. Me being the 007 agent that I am did pretty well keeping quiet. I did not over some things, which was hilarious, but for the most part everyone stayed asleep. So as I am walking all proud out of the house, I close the door and start walking to the car. Then I realize that I locked myself out of the house without my keys!!!! So, I call my wife and whisper, "Honey, I left my keys in the house, I'm in the front door." I wait about 20 seconds and she cracks the door open and all I see is her face with a huge smile. She knew I tried so hard not to screw up, but I did!!!! I told her, " I have daddyitis!!!"

Check out this video of me waking up Michael this morning. PRICELESS!!!!

Stay tuned as I keep you guys updated with what goes on tonight.

Am I Really Back this time?

Hey what is good everyone!

It seems like I have been following a pattern lately. Blog, disappear, blog again, disappear again.....
Well here I am again. I am really pushing to stay consistent in my blogging this year, but am sure like most people, we get bombarded with things left and right and by the time you know it, it has been months since you we have posted a blog.

Well so much has taken place throughout this new year with my: personal life, marriage, worship, ministry, work, etc. Let me give you a quick update of what's been going on.

Personal Life

Gym: I started working out again! Wohoo! I thought I wouldn't come back but how can you say know abs and muscles! lol I will keep you guys posted on my progress, which by the way is turning out great. I am seeing dramatic and fast results in just 2 months.

Gaming: Still gaming hard! Picked up a few games. Battlefield Bad Company 2, Dante's Inferno and of course still rocking hard the Modern Warfare 2!

Marriage: It is going great. We have are ups and downs but we fight through together. No kids yet and maybe not for a while. We are just enjoying each other and life. My wife is also working out/dieting and it has helped me tremendously.

Worship: Great year so far in worship, our entire team is growing with new singer and musicians, which is a great because it allows breaks, rotation, and diversity in singing and music style within the ministry. Looking forward to some up and coming projects that we are putting together this year. Can't wait.

Ministry: It is a great time for ministry in our church. We are going through an expansion/construction process right now and things are going really well. The church is growing drastically and we can't wait for our new building, that should be up late spring, early summer of this year. This expansion will be beneficial for the worship team being that the altar will be bigger, new sound equipment/technology, new instruments, lighting, the whole shabang!

Work: Thank God for work! Sometimes! lol My job has been a blessing financially. At the moment I am a Conference Coordinator. I pretty much organize medical, financial and business conferences around the globe. Sounds important huh! lol Last year was a super tough year for me and my wife financially but God has opened up doors. I have great coworkers and a great atmosphere of work.
Don't tell anyone but I am currently pursuing my Personal Training Certification! It is something that I have always wanted to do but never have. Well the opportunity has arose again and it ain't passing me up this time. Let's see where this takes me. You never know until you try (of course under the Lord's direction).

But that pretty much sums it all. Short and sweet, well kind of... lol

Oh! I forgot I am also going through a hairstyle change! I am excited so far but still have a little while to go. I will keep you guys updated with the process.

Stay updated weekly on my blog page and feel free to leave me comments here and there!

Until next time

Introducing..... Oscar

Hey everyone!

Let me introduce to the new member of my family, Oscar! (No, not for Oscar Meyer Winer! We'll maybe! lol!)

I never thought I would be a dog owner, but for the first time in my 24 yrs. of life, I am one. I got to tell you though, it is no walk in the park. I have had snakes, frogs, turtles, bearded dragons, birds, fish, but not a dog. This is a whole nother level.

The first night he was crying so much that I had to wake up at 3am and attend to him. Let me repeat, THIS IS A DOG, NOT A BABY! I didn't think dogs needed this kind of treatment, but I found out that baby dogs do.

We'll Oscar is 6 months old, and very smart. He is a Dachshund (Winer Dog). I am having lots of fun with him. Now I have someone I can talk to that listens! jk!

Me and my wife have been managing him pretty good, when it comes to feeding, discipline, potty training, etc. But I am calling on all dog savvy people. Those with years of experience under there belt.

I NEED YOUR HELP!

What helpful tips, encouragement, advice, etc can you give to a rookie dog owner like me? Share your stories

Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mother's out there, especially my two mother's, Ana Garcia and Carmen Cruz.

Here is a special poem dedicated to you's from your son.

"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.

It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

This poem was written by Curtis Clark.

In my own words I just want to say that I love you mom with all of my heart. This is not only a special day for you but for me because I get to honor you and brag about you.

After all the poop cleaning, screaming, spankings, money borrowing, corrections, food cooking, reminders, tears, prayers, laughs, hugs, kisses, insurance paying, and love , I owe you my life.

Thank you for putting up with me, and forming me to the person I am today. You truly are a strong women of God. I love you mom!

The GodFather

Hey blog nation! Great news, me my wife are God parents to a wonderful baby boy named Michael Daniel Rivera! Woohoo! I was so fired up when the parents told us, but now what? Obviously I know that there is a spiritual responsibility that me and my wife have towards this baby boy, but I want to do more than that. Every God parent I have ever met is hardly ever in the child's life, and I don't want that. I want to be the coolest, and most involved God parent there has ever been. Is there anything wrong with that? I don't think so.

I can't wait to see this little booger grow up! I want to thank Josh and Ylonka (the parents) for giving me and Jennifer another 2 years of freedom and good sleep! ZZZZZZZZ! You guys ROCK!

Above is our God son Michael Daniel Rivera. He is super fired up!
